GENERAL OPERATION
SaunaMasta
is a device which controls the temperature and operating cycle of a sauna heater.
SaunaMasta
pre-sets the sauna heater to an optimal safe, healthy, and economic use cycle. The user no longer alters the time or temperature settings at each individual use, consequently the heater will operate more efficiently and safely.
Touch pads are used to activate the heater control program, and as no accessible moving or adjustable parts are on the unit, maintenance and repairs are reduced to a minimum. The heater control unit will not be subjected to repairs from the heater being repeatedly reset, or to excess energy costs from it being left heating but unused.
SaunaMasta
is completely user friendly, requiring only to be switched on, to be fully and safely enjoyed. It is available as a self contained unit, ideal for a new installation, or as a replacement of existing manual controls.
SAFETY FEATURES
The SaunaMasta
program guards against the heater continuing to operate when no longer in use. The heater is set to switch off 40 minutes after it reaches the required room temperature. This feature also minimises the possibility of accidental heat over- exposure in the event of a user becoming incapacitated. If the sauna room fails to reach the required temperature due to the heater malfunction, or if the sauna door has been left ajar, the unit is set to switch off 50 minutes from when the Start function was activated.
ECONOMY
A conservative estimate of the energy savings achievable for an 8 Kw heater, for example, could amount to $700.00 per annum. This is arrived by calculating a possible saving of 1.5 hours running time per day, per year at an average 16c per energy unit:
8 Kw (8 units per hour) x 1.5 hours
Saved x 365 days x 16c = $700.00
